Should I be upset at all?
My boyfriend and I dated all last year but took a break over winter break. A few months ago we started dating again. Recently we went to a party together and this girl there started grinding on him right in front of me. He didn’t er, grind back, but he told me later that they kind of had a thing over winter break. Then I walk down to his dorm room the other day and she had decorated his door with colored construction paper and pictures she drew. Now today they’re playing frisbee on the quad together. My roommate thinks I should be upset, but I don’t know. It does bug me but I haven’t/probably won’t say anything.
When you two took your break was it a mutual decision? Was it your decision? Was it his decision? Did you know how long the break would last? Has this guy been a significant relationship before you? When I was in college I encountered a lot of guys that were not really looking for anything serious, and just wanted to play around, and “have some fun.” He is probably enjoying all of the attention that he is getting from girls in college., but if he really wants to be with you, then he will stay with you. Relationships are all about communication, so you should definitely discuss the matter with him and tell him how your feeling without getting angry at him. You should definitely talk with him pretty soon about this matter or it will eat you up inside.
