Why won’t anyone listen to my ideas?
My sorority is having our annual formal Christmas party and we are in the plannnig stages right now and I joined the committee to help plan it. I had this great idea for a theme called “Winter Wonderland” I thought we could decorate the hotel ball room we are renting to look like there is snow on the ground and hang snowflakes up. But I was immediately shot down! They said it wasn’t a good idea but I worked hard thinking of the concept and I thought everyone would like it. Instead they are thinking of doing some stupid theme with Candy Canes and red and white stripe decorations. It was this other girl’s idea and she said something about how everyone should just wear red or white dresses and crap but she knew I was already planning on wearing the pink dress I wore to my senior prom last year since I can’t afford a new one and I told them that but she said since everyone on the committee agreed to it there was nothing I can do! Why won’t they listen to me?
They are jelous because they can’t think of these things themselves, at the end of the day you gotta shout above the rest and say you know what, i’m on this comitee too and if you were my friends you’d listen and maybe try my ideas out. I f you listened to me you’d know why i wanted to wear the pink dress.
