Martha Stewart?
Okay I am doing my book report on Martha Stewart I know call me crazy but I am. The project is to make a presidential poster saying why that person would be a good president despite all her down falls like going to jail she had more influence on how Americans eat,entertain,decorate their house and gardens than any person in our history. So I don’t want crap for this so please be nice. Can you say anything good about her you think, why she would make a good president. And especially maybe tell me why she went to jail in good detail because Im pretty confused on what she did with the whole stock market thing. Thanks and please be nice :]
She went to jail for insider trading, which is illegal. Basically, she knew information about some stock that she owned that was not available to other stockholders. She knew the price would go down if others knew this information, so she sold her stock before the information was made publicly available to the other stockholders.
As to why she would be a good president, the only thing I can think of is a campaign slogan of “Governing in Style.”
